Fantastic cycling adventure around the Coromandel peninsula and Auckland area. Mike provided great support and advice and We had very good road bikes but could have used a few extra hill-climbing gears.

Was in dire need of a bicycle when Peter late at night, 10:30 pm japan time, answered my messages and have the bike ready to be picked up at 06:00 am the day after. A++ service right there. It enabled me to not cancel the bike trip that I planned since last year! From narita to tsuchiura. To shin fuji and shiraito falls. Izu peninsula, to lake biwa in otsu, then to kii peninsula all the way to wakayama, then I boarded nankai ferry to tokushima to enjoy the sunset at chichibugahama, and lastly shimanami kaido. It was too much fun, if anyone needs a bike to rent, don’t hesitate, contact Peter right away.

I had a great experience. The bike was top notch, delivered right to my hotel the day before my ride. I also did a three hour guided ride which was a real pleasure...no worrying about the route or wasting time on uninteresting scenery. Highly recommend the service.

great explore of chiba over 4 days and 750km that included climbs to the north and south…the bike was fantastic, and peter (livelo) was very helpful with delivery of the bike to my hotel…the trick is to minimise the tight roads with traffic, while getting to the roads less travelled.

I cannot recommend my Livelo NZ experience highly enough. I reached out to Mike, the Livelo NZ contact, about a month before I was planning on coming to NZ to do a bike-packing trip around the North Island. At this point, I was not necessarily planning on renting a Livelo bike, but I figured that the Livelo staff may be able to advise me on my proposed route. Without a guarantee that I was going to rent one of their bikes, Mike still offered to help me plan my trip out of the goodness of his heart. I ended up deciding to rent one of Livelo's bikes rather than bring my own from the USA, because their prices were incredibly affordable, the quality of their bikes seemed quite high, and they clearly had amazing customer service. When I arrived in NZ, Mike went even farther above and beyond what I was expecting from a customer service perspective: he helped me plan my trip down to every last detail, working with me to develop good routes on Strava, giving me multitools and spare tubes/parts in case I should have any problems while biking, advising me on fun things to do and places to stop along the way, and coordinating a time that worked for me to pick up my bike. My trip was a 2+ week long solo trip. Mike took time out of his day to ride about 40 miles outside of Auckland with me on the first day, and he stayed in contact with me throughout the trip, checking in to make sure that everything was going ok. The bike held up great over the course of the trip. No issues with it whatsoever, and I had a wide range of weather and road conditions. When I returned to Auckland ~1100 miles of cycling later, Mike met me at my hotel in the Auckland CBD to pick up my bike. I truly cannot thank Livelo and specifically Mike enough for having facilitated such an amazing trip. I would recommend any bikers hoping to explore NZ to rent one of their bikes.

A great way to see Tokyo! It was the best way to spend the last night in Tokyo.

It was a great ride through the streets of Tokyo. Peter was responsive in the early stages of the planning of the route and we explored a few options before opting for the route. During the ride, Peter was patient and also had us passing through the various landmarks in Tokyo. It was a unique way to see Tokyo. Perfect.

Fabulous day with Peter as my guide for the afternoon here in Narita. My bike selection was in perfect shape and being able to have a 59cm model was appreciated given I'm 6'6". Peter made adjustments as needed including swapping in Shimano pedals. The ride to and from Standing Buddha was at just the right pace. Peter did a good job incorporating breaks and photo stops along the way. Looking forward to the next ride when I'm in Tokyo next time given my frequency of travelling here on business.

I rented a bike for one day in Auckland. Mike dropped of the bike at the provided address the afternoon before such that I could start riding early in the morning. The bike itself was in exceptional conditions. Full carbon, Shimano di2, disc brakes, new tires, drinking bottles & saddle bag with the all the required tools. After sharing my gpx with Mike, he even gave recommendations on which routes to avoid (due to road closures/busy roads) and which routes are worth to add (including addresses of good coffee stops). If you ever need to rent a road bike in Auckland, I highly recommend Mike's service.

Great experience with Peter during a business trip to Tokyo with my colleague Patrick. Peter met us at the train station with two great road bikes that were clean and well maintained and just needed out pedals installed. He took time to make sure we were comfortable with bike fit before we started out ride. He’s a great guide and came up with a really nice route in the countryside starting from Narita and taking in views and stops in small villages, rice paddies, river views, temples and shrines and of course the huge Buddha statue in Ibaraki. Great conversation and always attentive to the needs of the riders, Peter was a fantastic host, pacing to your needs and also with plenty of stops for hydration and food (great lunch stop in Ibaraki!). Would definitely look him up again when I’m next in Tokyo!

Just wanted to share my review of Livelo Tokyo after having a fantastic day on the bike with Peter and his friend Jono. I needed to visit Tokyo on business for a couple weeks, and wanted something healthy and interesting to do at the weekend. I found Livelo Tokyo online, and contacted them to explore what was possible. I’m a recent convert to cycling, so wanted something challenging, but not too hard. Peter was very friendly and helpful, answered all my questions and came up with a route tailored for me. On the day, the bike provided was very comfortable to ride and already set up perfectly for my geometry. Peter was excellent company, warm, funny, with perfect English and (as far as I can tell) Japanese. The route was great, and Peter was excellent at stretching out and leading at a good pace, but also spotting when I needed a short break. We had a nice sushi/rice lunch at the coast, and lovely coffee and cake at the end of the ride. I can’t thank Peter enough - I was very tired, but very happy at the end of the day. Highly recommended.

GREAT RIDE. Peter had a great route, kept a solid pace, and was the consummate guide ... varying the route on the fly (eg, I wanted to add a few miles, which he did happily ... with a cool destination at temple in Narita). TOTALLY LOCAL ROADS... Gorgeous, low (almost NO) traffic, very few lights. We were riding great roads, all to ourselves, within 5 miles of the airport! Very safety conscious as well (with signals, etc), which I appreciated. The guy even picked me up at an out of the way location to accommodate me, and helped me get the right train ticket back to Tokyo, on his own time. Did a 90im ride with Peter and despite the extreme heat, Peter took great care to make it a fantastic experience. He rightly predicted the conditions of the day and was prepared to return in the train. Bakery/cafe we stopped was also great and in a very nice location. Highly recommended.

I was in Auckland on vacation from the states, and I needed to keep training for an upcoming century ride. Mike was an amazing tour guide and cycling partner. I had such a great time on the ride. The difficulty level was exactly what I was hoping for and honestly this was my favorite way to explore a new city. Seriously, this 3 hr guided bike tour was a highlight of my vacation. Mike even got some sweet action shots of me on the ride.

Went on an impromptu bike tour in Narita — Livelo definitely came in handy. Everything was communicated very clearly, and bike was in excellent condition. The route in Narita was excellent as well: good roads, nice scenery. Only thing I wish was a few more good climbs :)

Ordered a bike to use during a recent trip to Tokyo. Everything involved in the order process, bike delivery/ pick communication etc was smooth and much appreciated. I’ll definitely be using their services again if I’m in a city where they’re located and would suggest they’re services to others. Can’t thank them enough for all their help! I wish services like these were everywhere I travel. Totally worth the cost.

Had a great time last Sunday at Narita on Livelo bikes. Smooth and easy pick up and drop off near Narita Yukawa Station. The bikes were in excellent condition and adjusted to our measurements when we arrived, and Peter gave us a few routes to choose from. However, we had to wait almost a week from the date we placed our order before we were contacted by Livelo staff to make arrangements a few days before the ride. We were wondering if our order went through, and our emails went unanswered for a week. But other than that everything else was fantastic.

Booked a bike hire and tour with Peter. I met Peter at the front of Narita Yukawa station. We quickly got set up and embarked on a great local route around Chiba and visited the Standing Buddha (what a sight!). Finished off with one of the best meals I've had in Japan in Narita City. Thanks Peter and Livelo for a great time. Will definitely recommend.

We decided to get out of downtown Tokyo and rent Livelos road bikes for a day - the bikes were in excellent condition and Peter sent us a beautiful Strava route with the distance we were looking for to the large Buddha statue. We warmly recommend exploring more than downtown Tokyo and having a tour around the region!

Absolutely brilliant, highly recommend. I used Livelo in Auckland to rent a road bike for a day. The bike was dropped off to the hotel the afternoon before the rental day and I even got some useful suggestions to amend my planned route. I used WhatsApp to communicate with the local rep and everything worked smoothly. The bike was a full carbon Cervelo in perfect condition with saddle height already adjusted to my parameters. Thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the service. Best thing I've done in Auckland.

Bike was delivered in a rinko bag to the hotel and was there before I arrived. Bike was clean and tuned upon delivery. I was a bit surprised at the switched brake levers that I guess are the norm in japan vs usa, but that's not their fault. They were in touch over whatsapp making sure everything went smoothly and picked up the bike from the hotel shortly after I departed for the airport. Top notch service.

I have used Livelo twice now in Sydney and have been super impressed with the service. My first was a 3 hr bike tour of Sydney and the both the bike and tour was great. My second was a 5hr tour with a mountain goat of a guide who let me off with an easy ride as I am a soft Pom ! If you happen to be in one of the many cities that Livelo offer this service I would highly recommend trying it out 👍🏻

Did a fantastic ride north of Sydney. Rented a great bike. It was delivered to the hotel and I could just go out there the next morning. Hassle free ride. Excellent. This is the third or fourth time I rented via Livelo and was consistently great!

I had planned a trip to Sydney 3 or 4 months before I arrived. I’ve heard so much about the cycling scene that I was looking forward to it. I’m a Rapha Club member so I was planning to use my membership to borrow a bike from them. However.... the Sydney Rapha Clubhouse closed. I went to Adelaide prior to going to Sydney. I was there for TDU. Walking around and talking to the cycling community, someone suggested I look up Livelo when I arrived in Sydney. The second day I arrived, I went searching for Livelo (thinking it was a store) and went to the address posted in google. The address is actually a coffee stop. Fortunately a gentleman by the name of Didi (or was it Dida) told me to coordinate everything with Peter over the phone or over the on the website. Got back to my hotel, went to the website and booked my bike hire TWO days later! Yes! It’s on!!! I get the email that my bike has been delivered. So I come back to my hotel room and I see the Bianchi bike in my room ready to go! I’m so psyched! I go out that afternoon cruising the bike lanes to get comfortable with the bike and quench my appetite to ride. Of course I rode across the Sydney Harbour Bridge!! I booked the bike but I also booked a guide the next morning at 6am with John. So with Livelo, you can hire the bike only. You can also hire a guide for a ride as well. This is actually a great thing because if you don’t know the roads, you can have a personal guide with you to help navigate the Sydney roads. I booked a 3hr guide as well! John was selected as my personal guide who was outstanding. It was just me and him. Not only did he help me navigate the Sydney roads, he provided detailed Australian history about the areas we visited. This took the experience over the top! I didn’t expect this. Not only did I ride one of Sydney’s most popular routes, but I got a history of the areas as well! I highly recommend John, if you get him. A+++! So I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to ride a quality road bike with a moments notice and have a tour of Australia that I would expect from a high end tour guide. The tour was just me and the tour guide!! So worth it!!! When I come back, I plan to ride the north beaches with Livelo. A 5hr ride through the national park and palm beach is a must!! This worked brilliantly. I was able to ride a high quality road bike while on vacation. The bike was delivered right to my house buy a knowledgeable bike enthusiast. He even made a special trip to get me the right pedals after I selected the wrong option on the web site. They were also able to supply everything I needed - tools, bottle cages, iPhone mount and lights. I couldn’t be happier with the way it worked out.

I've rented bikes from Livelo in both Melbourne and Sydney locations now, with great experiences both times. Peter obviously pays close attention and follows up with clients to ensure the experience is good. Delivery to the hotel is super convenient and both bicycles I've had have been in good maintenance and ideal for the terrain!

Excellent service and beautiful bikes! I rented a bicycle for one week during a buisness trip to Sydney. The bike was delivered by Livelo to my hotel room before my arrival, it was in fantastic condition and the setup was just perfect. Livelo asks you to fill out a rider profile before the hire in which all setup details can be filled in (frame size, stack, reach, pedal choice ...). I did not need to change a single thing but to enjoy the bike from first day to the last! I am more than happy and look forward to booking with Livelo again!

This was a perfect bike rental experience. The booking and communication were easy and efficient. I provided my bike fit measurements ahead of time and my needs in terms of pedals, helmet and kit. Everything arrived perfectly the afternoon before my first day and was delivered to the apartment I was renting. The bike was perfectly tuned and ran excellently for the 10 days I rented it. Traveled to Sydney for work and had a day to see the sights. I rented a bike online from Livelo before I left Utah. The bike and several other accessories were waiting for me when I got to the hotel. It was perfectly tuned and made from an incredible day. At the end of the ride, I left the bike with the hotel to be picked up by Livelo. The ease, service, and equipment was top notch.
